George joined Kingston Smith Consulting in October 2009. He is a senior manager in the risk management, compliance and controls assurance practice line.
He is a highly skilled and experienced consultant with over 13 years experience in audit and risk management across multiple international locations in Europe and Africa.
An accomplished team manager, George has led teams during long term secondments with internal audit functions while running key workstreams on projects to improve operating controls, complete SAS 70 reports, achieve Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and carry out sensitive investigations into fraud and regulatory compliance issues. He has worked across multiple projects to develop or improve risk management frameworks working from methodology development to supporting business implementation and developing effective reporting protocols and content.
Prior to joining Kingston Smith Consulting, George worked for the consulting firm Jefferson Wells in London and prior to that he worked for PwC LLP (London Banking and Capital Markets) and KPMG (Channel Islands) in their external assurance practices. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young in 2000, and is also a CFA Charterholder.
Outside of work, George is a keen football fan.
