David joined Kingston Smith Consulting in March 2009. He is the Partner leading the risk management, compliance and controls assurance practice line.
A highly experienced chief internal auditor and head of risk management, David has developed and directed international audit and risk functions in the investment and wealth management sectors. He is an acknowledged specialist in internal audit delivery and has developed operating and quality assurance standards for internal audit in several multinational companies. David has worked extensively on risk in trading environments, alternative investments including real estate and hedge funds, offshore funds and derivatives / structured products.
Prior to joining Kingston Smith Consulting, David was EMEA Director for the consulting firm Jefferson Wells and prior to that global Director of Internal Audit at Aviva Investors. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Ernst & Young in London, having first picked up a Law degree from the University of Leicester.
For interests David is a connoisseur of American sports and life.
